2 big reasons why we need a replacement for the Space Shuttle:
(1) NASA has renewed a deal for use of the Russian Soyuz at $63 Million per seat for a total of $753 Million. We need to keep the money in the USA and continue to evolve our technology.
(2) When the last Soyuz Capsule landed with a NASA astronaut and 2 Russian cosmonauts landed in Kazakhstan, it touched down in ankle-deep snow and 30-knot winds. The winds dragged the space capsule nearly 23 meters. These conditions are unacceptable.
